What is SEO?

Devadigm offers SEO (Search Engine Optimization) services for our clients websites and social media marketing campaigns.

We love coding websites; it’s how we got started in the industry. We firmly believe that a great, effective website is crucial to the success of most small businesses. One fact that some new business owners overlook is that it doesn’t matter how great your website looks or what cool, fancy features it has if nobody sees it. This is where Search Engine Optimization comes in.

Search Engines, such as Google and Bing, use in depth algorithms to return their search results. A high level explanation of this is that websites are ranked based on several factors including, but definitely not limited to:

  • Responsive Design with special focus on mobile-friendly sites
  • Site Page Load Speed
  • Social Media
  • Amount and Relativity of Content
  • Keyword Utilization
  • Image Utilization
  • Inbound and Outbound Links

SEO is a critical aspect of every website which should ideally be started during the initial planning phase of the site design. This isn’t the 90’s where a webpage could get a high ranking in search results simply by including keywords or key phrases many times throughout the site. The process is much more complex now and having a company like {DEVADiGM} work on your SEO is optimal for your results.

Social Media Marketing

Devadigm manages social media campaigns and SEO services for small businesses

One of the primary differences in SEO today is the inclusion of social media. Companies with a strong, social media presence consistently rank higher than those without. The high level thought process here is simple. The more times a company is mentioned on social media by posts, tweets, likes, shares, comments, etc, the better the ranking. Results are based on activity, so engagement is crucial.

What Social Media Sites Should I Be On?

One of the most common questions is, “Do I need to be on all social media sites?” No, you don’t need to be on all of them and I suggest you don’t try to. There isn’t a cookie cutter response that works for every business. We may suggest that one business focus on Facebook and Twitter while another focus on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and Yelp. It varies based on the business type, target audience, goals, budget, etc. One consistent suggestion is to create your focus and execute it successfully. Oftentimes this means that we have a client start their social media campaign with one platform and focus on running an excellent, successful campaign. Then when need, time, and budget allows, they can add an additional platform. It’s better to do an excellent job at one thing than a mediocre job at multiple things.
