Having an active Facebook page with an engaged audience is a great way to grow your business. Similar to a new blog, the crickets you hear after creating a new Facebook page can feel pretty lonely. A simple way to start building an audience quickly is to invite Facebook friends to like your page. I suggest only inviting friends who you suspect will be interested in the content on the page (and of course, Mom) rather than spamming everyone on your friends list.
This tutorial will show you how to invite Facebook friends to like a page. Facebook makes it really easy to invite people who you are friends with on Facebook, to your page. There is a section on the right side that says, “Invite your friends to like (your page).”
If this is a new page with little to no content, I suggest posting at least two posts with an image or video to give your friends a better idea of what they can expect to see on the page.
Step 1: Login into Facebook and go to your page.
Step 2: Find the section on the right side of the page that says, “Invite your friends to like (your page).”
Step 3: From there, look through your friends list and click the invite button next to the name of those you think might be interested in the page.
Step 4: You can also click above the list and search for people. Your entire friends list will show up and you can search by first or last name. Additionally, you can edit the invite message to tell them why you think they would be interested in that page.
Step 5 (Optional): Finally, ask your friends to invite any of their friends that they think would enjoy the content on the page.
As you can see, it’s a quick and easy process to invite Facebook friends to like a page! Now comes the real work – consistently posting valuable content for your target audience.
